Important notice:
  • The applicant and all partner organisations must be registered in the Participant Portal. Organisations that register in the Portal receive a Participant Identification Code (PIC) that will be requested in the application form.
  • The applicants are encouraged to get acquainted with the User guide and to read carefully the Applicant's guidelines before starting their application.
  • The applicants are advised to regularly save the input completed in the eForm online.
  • The applicants are strongly advised to submit their application as soon as ready.
  • In case of technical problems encountered, the applicants should immediately contact the responsible Helpdesk. It is strongly advised to provide the Helpdesk with print screen so that the problem could be easily identified and more rapidly solved

The announcement of the Erasmus+ Programme Call for proposals EACEA/15/2014 in all official languages of the EU is published in Official Journal 2014/C108/03 of 10/04/2014.

The Erasmus + Programme Guide is available online. The Programme Guide presents all actions covered within the Erasmus+ Programme, including the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, and explains the rules and conditions for setting up and submitting an application.

Deadline for proposal submission

  • 22 May 2014, 12:00 midday Brussels time for the mandatory electronic submission

Eligibility criteria

  • The "Erasmus Charter for Higher Education" application eForm is completed in its entirety (all sections of the eForm) and submitted online by the deadline as set in the Call for proposals;
  • The correct “Erasmus Charter for Higher Education" application form is used; 
  • The application is written in one of the 24 official languages of the European Union;
  • The applicant is established within one of the eligible countries (see section 2.3 of the Applicants Guidelines);
  • The applicant institution is eligible (see section 2.4 of the Applicants Guidelines);
  • The application is not submitted by a consortium;
  • The Part E "Endorsement of the application" bears the signature of the legal representative of the institution together with the stamps or seals of the institution.

Award of Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE)

The final decision on the award of the Charter or rejection of the application will be taken by the European Commission on the basis of the recommendations of the ECHE Evaluation Committee, composed of a panel of European Commission and Executive Agency officials.

Language of the application

The ECHE Online Application Form is available in English, French and German.
The ECHE application itself can be completed in any one of the official languages of the European Union.
If the chosen language of completion is not English, French or German, the Erasmus Policy Statement – Overall strategy must be provided both in the chosen language of completion AND in either English, French or German. A separate box will open for the translated text.
